Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

This policy explains what information we collect through the Formulation Designer website and early-access communications, how we use it, and your choices. It is written for a marketing and early-access context; product account privacy terms may be issued separately when the hosted application launches.

Who we are

This website and related early-access communications are operated by the operator of Formulation Designer. For privacy questions, use the contact form on this website.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us and limited technical data created when you use the site.

  • Contact and early-access details — such as name, work email, organisation, markets of interest, plan interest, and message content.
  • Technical and usage data — such as IP address, browser type, device and approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps in server or CDN logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — described in our Cookie Notice. We may use essential cookies and, if enabled later, analytics cookies.

How we use information

We use personal information only as needed to:

  • Respond to inquiries and early-access requests.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • Communicate about Formulation Designer where you have asked us to, or where we have another lawful basis.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and users.

Lawful bases (where UK/EU GDPR applies)

Depending on the activity, we rely on: performance of pre-contract steps at your request; our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and developing our product (balanced against your rights); consent where we ask for it (for example certain cookies or optional marketing); and legal obligation where applicable.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers who host the site, deliver email, process payments (for example Stripe when billing launches), or provide security and analytics — only as needed to perform those services under appropriate terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

Retention

We keep inquiry and early-access records for as long as needed to handle your request and for related business, legal, and security purposes, then delete or anonymise them when no longer required. Server logs are typically retained for shorter operational periods.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a marketing site and early-access workflow. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you use the site at your own risk regarding residual security risk.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability or to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a supervisory authority (for example the UK ICO). Contact us via the website contact form to exercise rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Children

The site is directed at business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product and our practices mature. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
